Our Finance Division is comprised of the following groups: Financial Control, Product Control, Financial Decision Support, and Tax. All areas allow you to build a thorough understanding of our business and enables you to add value in the reporting and analysis of financial information. Finance is an exciting area as the division supports a variety of products in a constantly changing marketplace. Product Control provides explanations of business revenues, attributing any movements to market positions, inherent risk and new deals. The team is also responsible for ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet for revenue products. Product Control is key to our reporting and control infrastructure and the information provided by the group gives us the means to assess business performance. In addition, the group coordinates all global finance controls and procedures.

Main Function

Daily production of PL risk reports Own Balance Sheet and understand B/S movement Liaison with other departmental areas (e.g. Front Office, Operations, IT, Financial Control) including being the point of contact in providing information for all interested parties Ensure the maintenance of a strong internal control environment

Main Duties

Understand the line control functions on a detailed level in order to be able to:
Produce and substantiate daily PL risk reports including Compilation of daily risk explains commentary, monitor compliance with loss threshold limits and trader mandates as well as support new business Reconcile balance sheet and income statement to the general ledger and explain B/S activity Assist with wider group initiatives such as policy implementation systems migrations Process and control development, identification of improvements through documentation and analysis of current procedures

Person Requirements

Basic Requirements: BA or BS Degree3+ years Experience in Finance3+ years working with Excel Preferred Requirements:Strong control awarenessBasic understanding of derivative productsDesire to provide top quality service to internal clientsExcellent people skills, both communication and active listeningAbility to review problems from different view points, devising and implementing practical solutionsAbility to meet regular, tight reporting deadlinesAbility to understand and work through different systems and processesProactive person who challenges processes and looks for improvements. Confident and able to deal with potentially difficult clients
