Product Control – GFX (6 Months Contract) recruitment
Job Description
The main function of the role will be to produce report PNL within the global Foreign Exchange (GFX) Product Control Team. The successful candidate will also act as a point of contact between Finance and the GFX for all financial, management business specific reporting issues for their respective books. The role covers SCB's trading operations globally in the UK, Americas, Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Key Roles Responsibilities
1. Daily PL production and control processes, including back-testing PNL, reconciliation to the ledger.
2. Business support in terms of advising on structured transactions, assisting new product launches, providing quality MIS, and accommodating any ad hoc requests.
3. Contact point for auditors, both internal and external, and local regulators.
4. Providing MIS around PL analytics, risk based PL explanation, and performance commentary.
5. Develop understanding of the reserving methodologies used.
6. Understand Implement - price variance testing at month-end for the respective books.
Qualifications Skills
1. Educated to degree level
2. Experience of Global Markets treasury products (covering FX, interest rate derivatives, options).
3. A strong understanding of the financial and tax reporting requirements is preferred.
4. Ability to work under constant pressure to tight deadlines and deliver high quality output.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels both written (report and guideline writing) and verbally.
6. Lateral thinker with ability to use own initiative.
7. VBA and SQL skills will be a plus
