Product Controller – ACA recruitment
A Product Controller is sought by our client; a prominent investment bank that provides structuring execution expertise to a truly global client base. The role is based in the City of London. The successful candidate will be either a qualified ACA from Practice looking for their first role within Banking or a candidate with prior PL or Product Control experience.
The Product Controller - ACA position exists within the business area controlling team, which is part the finance department. The group is responsible for the generation of the bank's daily PL reporting as well as reconciliation of such against the general ledger.
Working as part of the PL team and reporting directly to director level, the Product Controller - ACA will be accountable for
- a given set of trading books and tasked with
- producing a fully signed off (by trading desk) set of ledger reconciled PLs.
- This role necessitates a profound understanding of the products being reported on
- and training on this will be given where appropriate.
- The successful candidate should expect to gain in depth product understanding on a number of different trade types and asset classes
- as well as the opportunity to participate in defining strategies for improvements in existing workflows.
