Product Controller – Emerging Markets Credit (AVP/Analyst) recruitment
Due to expansion in the area a further Analyst /AVPis required to provide detailed commentary and MIS for senior management on the business, analysing significant market and position factors contributing to these results, as well as reports for regulatory capital calculations. This is an exciting role whereby the successful candidate will have the chance to learn invaluable knowledge of rates products in the emerging market space and gain strong experience through substantiation, MIS, commentary and analysis. The role also requires the incumbent to constantly look for ways to improve processes and controls.
MUST Have:
- Minimum of 3 years work experience, including at least 2 years in Banking Finance - Product Control / Finance Control or related function.
- Previous exposure to derivative products and rates, emerging markets experience also highly desirable
- Experience within a top tier investment bank
Main Duties:
• Production of daily desk PL, substantiating formal PL, investigating Flash/Formal differences
• Preparing PL Commentaries, Trade Mandate Stop Loss Monitoring
• Reviewing FOBO's recs ,investigating, resolving breaks escalating in timely manner
• New, Amends Cancels trades review.
• Submission of accurate Clean Hypo PL for back testing.
• Ensure the maintenance of a strong internal control environment
• PL attribution and understanding of the attributed PL
• Balance Sheet control and commentary
• Balance Sheet Substantiation
• Review deal documentation to understand features of each of the transactions and to ensure that the system bookings are in line with the documentation
• Provision of key weekly monthly MIS to senior management.
• Liaison with other departmental areas (e.g. Front Office, Operations, IT, Financial Control)
• Stop Loss Monitoring
• Mandate sign-off
• Process development and identification of improvements through documentation and analysis of current procedures
• Investigations and ad hoc queries as necessary
