Product Controller – Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities & Securities recruitment
The Financial Management Group (FMG) provides financial, tax and treasury services to all areas of Macquarie.
This role sits within the ANZ Trading Finance team within FMG and supports the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) and Macquarie Securities Group (MSG).
FICC is involved in a broad range of financial markets trading activities. Its services range from 24-hour trading in the Australian dollar and base metals to managing the entire treasury operation for a client. A focus on adding value through innovative product and superior service continues to provide opportunities for selective expansion in a global market.
MSG is a global institutional securities house with strong Asia-Pacific foundations covering sales, research, ECM, execution and derivatives activities. It offers full-service cash equities in Australia, Asia, South Africa and Canada with specialised offerings in US and Europe and specialised derivatives offerings in key locations globally.
This position sits within the Product Control team and responsibilities will include:
- Produce the daily profit and loss reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Reconcile front office profit and loss estimates to the product system and resolution of differences
- Review of daily reconciliations and resolution of breaks
- Maintain a consistently high level of customer service
- Review of month end financial accounting/balance sheet for the Divisions
- Implementation of Macquarie's Financial Control Framework
- Various ad-hoc projects
The key skill requirements are:
- CA / CPA qualified with Product Control experience
- Strong control and risk awareness
- The ability to meet deadlines and work as part of a team
- The ability to manage various tasks with conflicting deadlines
- Demonstrable Product knowledge
- Intermediate to advanced Excel
