Product Controller Gas Trading recruitment
The product control team provide a risk management service to the business in addition to providing important and insightful analysis to the trading desk.
We are seeking an individual to become part of the European Gas Trading Product Control team. The role holder will be responsible for all product control activities for one of the major trading books. They will gain exposure to physical and paper gas trades, oil and FX products.
On a daily basis the product controllers interact with the traders and produce a PL report providing analysis and commentary on major movements. They are involved in price verification work and produce MI on a monthly basis. There is opportunity to get involved in project work including continuous improvement of both process and system controls.
The successful individual is likely to be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with experience in a product control role for an investment bank or trading house. They must have an interest in the commodity sector and have excellent understanding of traded products and front to back processes in product control.
