Product controller / middle office PnL control recruitment
My client is interested to bring on board an experienced individual within PL production who is also keen to work very closely with the middle office trade supporting function.
The Successful individual will have strong communication as well as analytical skills to liaise effectively with the front office as well as being a detail oriented individual looking to grow and develop their career within the investment banking area
Responsibilities:
- Extensive interaction with the business to analyze performance
- Perform and analyze daily PnL production and risk for the equity business
- Understand accounting methodologies applied for equity products
- Reconciliation of reported PnL to general ledgers to facilitate statutory reporting
- Support review and development of new products
- Perform the necessary review and commentary on financial reports
- Potential on participating in ad-hoc projects
Requirement:
- 2 years or more relevant experience within financial institutes
- Qualified accountant is preferred but not a must
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Good communication skills in both English and Cantonese
- Good VBA Skills a plus
- Able to think on the spot and has an analytical mind
- CFA qualification a plus
