Product Controller – Rates recruitment
An excellent opportunity currently exists for an experienced Product Controller to join a high-achieving team providing timely, accurate, fully substantiated and compliant financial and management reporting of the Rates and Structured Rates business. Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Performing daily balance sheet/book reconciliations
- Involvement in projects to improve processes.
- Working with valuation and accounting controls and operations to ensure accuracy and completeness of balances passing to the general ledger
- Timely investigation and clearance of breaks and preparation and passing of manual journals
- Review of due diligence to ensure booking of trades generates correct automated accounting; performing post implementation reviews to ensure same
- Investigating pl and BS variances in order to provide meaningful business-informed commentary
- Effective communication with stakeholders and other support teams and escalation of major issues to line management as appropriate
To be considered for this role, you will ideally be a qualified Accountant and have a background in product control, with relevant asset class experience, gained from a major investment bank. You will have demonstrated ability to implement change, particularly in improvement of controls and automation. First rate communication skills will be prerequisite to your success in this key role.
