Global Markets (GM) is one of the fastest growing business and major profit contributors to Deutsche Bank . GM GBS (Global Business Services) act as the primary control function around daily PL and Risk, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for in the Bank’s systems, providing accurate data to the businesses and downstream groups on a daily basis. Deutsche Bank is one of the market leaders in Exotic products. The primary role of book runner is to support this business by providing individual trading desks with detailed close of business price and risk information. The role also provides front office clients with a detailed understanding of the Risk/PL constituents through a PL attribution process. Full end of day price and risk information is provided to all areas of controlling and Market Risk Management on a T Zero or T+1 basis. Primarily focused on the Risk Engine environment, the current global team supports the GED Exotics business line, acting as the centre for trade mechanics, risk and pricing to ensure that trading activities are processed in a well controlled fast paced environment.
Job Description
- Ensuring the successful migration for GED Exotics from Goose pricing to Risk Engine pricing as the key process SME in partnership with IT
- Coordination with the GED Exotics Trade Capture and Deal Review teams on migration and process improvements leveraging Risk Engine architecture
- Conduct training to the other GED Exotics GBS team members on the daily production of pricing and risk numbers via in house Risk Engine system, including timely problem identification and resolution
- Liaison with the Equity Derivatives Middle Offices in the various locations to ensure timely and accurate trade verification/trade maintenance is fed into the Risk Engine process to ensure risk/pl production stability.
- Set up and testing of new products in Risk Engine, and verification of new deal PL
- Continual Change the Bank development to improve speed and accuracy of risk numbers and to reduce the level of manual intervention required in the work flow.
- Oversight and control to maintain consistent Risk Engine process and architecture for all locations and balancing the local US requirements.
- Overnight support for the pl/risk production for the London books to enhance accuracy and timeliness of delivery
- Streamline the T+0 and T+1 process for improved controls and process efficiency
- Provide support for the XOL pricing platform Issue resolution of risk/pl escalation from product control team in Mumbai
Key Competencies:
- Understanding of the key controls around derivative trade capture procedures and downstream reporting requirements, including PL, accounting, market risk reporting and regulatory issues.
- A detailed understanding of the DB Analytics and GRIMIS toolkit packages
Qualifications and Skills:
- Sound understanding of Derivative products, including technical issues involved in pricing and valuation
- Strong quantitative background with excellent IT skills
- Candidates must have the ability be analytical and thorough whilst being able to communicate complex information to a wide variety of clients.
