Position Description:

The Engineering Division designs, develops, and transitions into production commercial, consumer, and health care pneumatic-fluidic aerosol generation appliances for a variety of end-user applications.  We are seeking a team member who possesses demonstrable experience synthesizing product designs within the constraints of the product requirements and architecture definitions.  The successful candidate is expected to be capable of proactively contributing to concept, requirements, and architecture development, exercising quality management, and engaging in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) practices.  The ability to work in a collaborative environment is essential.

 

Position responsibilities:

·        Contribute to product concept, requirements, and architecture development

·        Synthesize innovative design solutions

·        Generate detail, assembly, and model drawings

·        Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM)

·        Exercise disciplined quality management

·        Prototype and test design solutions to support requirements verification

·        Conduct tolerance analyses

·        Support transition to manufacturing including New Product Introduction (NPI) into High Volume Manufacturing (HVM)

·        Provide technical support for and participate in product reviews

 

Position requirements:

 

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field, two or more years experience using SolidWorks, working knowledge of first principles engineering, demonstrated experience in product design, experience prototyping and modeling designs, evidence of analytical analysis skills, experience in design transition to manufacturing, excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

Desired:

 

Advanced degree in engineering, five or more years of industrial experience, experience in pneumatic and/or fluidic systems.
