Product Designer – Structured Products (Banking and Finance) recruitment
Marketing mainly through IFAs, we also produce bespoke products for institutions and high net worth individuals and are rapidly growing our presence in the offshore market. An opportunity has now arisen for a Product Designer to join the team.
In this role you will be responsible for the planning, designing, creation and issue of structured products initially involved with the retail market but in due course with a wider focus on the growing offshore market.
Products will be distributed by our in-house sales force largely through IFAs.
The role will involve broad responsibilities for the product creation and the maintenance at all times of an appealing and competitive pipeline of products that is suitable for the selected target markets and the successful candidate will be expected to play a prominent part in the structured product team.
As the Product Designer your role will involve:
- Working with the Sales Managers/Directors, idea generation, planning the development of products, managing product pipeline; awareness of other product offerings in the market will be imperative
- Liaising and negotiating with banks over the structure of proposed products - Identifying secondary market resale or restructuring opportunities for existing plans
- Providing technical assistance and support to the sales team with an active role talking to major clients
- Play an active role in the preparation of quality and compliant product and sales literature, liaising with the Compliance Officer in its drafting
- Assisting in arranging the production of stress testing modelling and product market suitability assessments.
To be considered for this position you must have experience of working with structured products, an understanding of options strategies underlying structured products, awareness of markets and factors affecting structured products and a background in banking and finance.
