Product Designer
By joining our Design team, you’ll work closely with our Development, Marketing and Investment teams to identify opportunities to improve our product. We expect you to put the user at the heart of everything you do.
As part of your job you will:
- Work on a huge variety of design challenges;
- Focus on delivering the best user experience and maximize customer conversions;
- Help improve our product, design system and styleguide making ensure it can scale;
- Apply user experience principles and standards to research, ideate, wireframe, design and test new features;
- Design marketing sites, landing pages, and web / mobile application interfaces;
- Work with the design team to improve process, and give feedback on design artifacts;
- Participate in all phases of an agile development cycle;
- Have fun.
Main requirements
- At least two years of experience working with web products;
- You're able to conduct the core UX design process of researching, hypothesizing and validating solutions;
- Enjoy having discussions around process, strategy, and the story behind design decisions;
- You're extremely organized, you can work independently and manage responsibilities and deadlines;
- You have great communication skills either in person or via Slack, Trello or email;
- Able to propose new ideas and enhance other people's ideas;
- Very sociable person with a “can-do” attitude;
- You're fluent in English;
- You're a curious and ambitious designer looking to make an impact on a rapidly growing product;
- You're a team player who is excited about collaborating with engineers and designers;
- Be awesome. We’re not as bothered by which school you went to, as that you’re a clever, diligent, hard-working and pleasant person who adds loads of value to our team.
Nice to have
- You can code HTML/CSS (though we won’t ask you to);
- You're involved in side projects—just for the fun of it;
- Can share stories of your process and how your insights drove design decisions;
- Has passion in defending their ideas, especially when there’s data to back it up;
- You can suggest techniques that will help shape our design process.
