• Do you have a strong PRODUCT DESIGN background in the area of Medical Devices, Drug Delivery products, Syringes, Inject-able devices, etc.?
• Are you strong with the entire product development life-cycle, from inception, design, testing, production, etc.?
We are currently seeking a SENIOR ENGINEER with a significant amount of product development experience in the medical device field. This role will be directly involved in the design and development of various medical devices and drug delivery systems including mechanical designs, selection of materials, product testing and working with manufacturing engineering and suppliers to develop manufacturing processes.
This is a KEY role in the design of the next generation of products and we need a senior individual with the following (MUST HAVE):
• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent. – MUST HAVE A 4-YEAR degree, with an advanced degree being preferred.
• At least 5-7+ years of product development experience is desired
• Experience in the mechanical design and development of complex delivery systems for single use medical devices.
• Experience with mechanical and electro- mechanical systems
• Analytical skills experience (e.g. FEA, moldflow, GDT, 1st principles)
• Proficiency working/designing in SolidWorks 2010
In addition to the above listed MUST haves, the following will also determine how strong your profile fits our needs:
• Extensive experience in the testing and selection of material for biocompatibility and sterilization, especially plastics.
• Working knowledge of applicable FDA and ISO standards
• Definition of technical solutions for product developments
• Leading design engineers in developing technical solutions
• Transfer of designs to manufacture through liaison with manufacturing engineering and external suppliers.
