PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ANALYST (RAPID DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER) recruitment
This person will be involved in supporting the team, bridging the gap between the product design and development of the final products. This person will not sit within the software development team, though there will be regular interaction with them as well client services managers, product manager and research consultants. It is expected that the successful candidate can take a broad concept and create prototypes, writing detailed technical specifications, testing solution to ensure that they are feasible and working within a controlled environment. This would then be based to the Software development team to implement. Strong SQL and Excel skills are required, the company work in a .net environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop a process for delivering innovative software devices and products in a way that ensures that there are clear paths to take an idea from prototype to final product.
- Build revenue for the Company through the improvement of software used during the sales process and by minimizing waste through re-engineering products.
- Working in an iterative and agile manner you will help the IPM achieve their targets.
- Early involvement in consultancy efforts where they are likely to be productised (e.g. LSMC).
- Involve SDT resource on prototype projects to assist skills transfer, educating on concepts where appropriate.
- Encourage use of common libraries for prototyping and consultancy deliverables.

Core Requirements:
- Experience with software and systems architecture development.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts including risk management, asset management and the pricing of financial instruments.
- Have an understanding of product offerings similar to the Company’s and how clients currently use these to solve problems.
- You have the knowledge to understand the needs of the clients in the areas of risk and asset management.
- You will have a clear understanding of formal project delivery processes from a software engineering perspective.
- First degree in computing, finance, mathematics or other relevant discipline.
- Post graduate or professional qualification such as Actuarial, CFA or similar preferred.
- Experience of software development (in a controlled environment preferred).
