The Product Development Assistant for Off Price and Clubs will play a pivotal role in this business. This position will report into the Sourcing Manager of OP Clubs and these two positions will work closely to provide executional support of seasonal strategies to achieve the Product Development objectives. This position will do the background work necessary to provide recommendations for adopting a product that can be successfully manufactured meeting all expectations of Design, Merch and Product Development.
In addition, your primary responsibilities will include:
* Assists in research and collect of detailed information for new products.
* Work with vendors to introduce new product styles / collections based on requests from the business for clubs and off price.
* Advise changes to existing products to appropriate overseas manufacturers.
* Research findings for development of in-house and external raw materials.
* Initiate the development teck pack. Submit initial prototypes and communicate on development of these products.
* Maintain/update development records/approvals for Op / Clubs team.
* Provide product parameters to the Product Technician to support the product information item master, BOM and mfg. routing for all products. BOM maintenance.
* Responsible for issuing new product specifications and fabric details to vendors to initiate costs and prototypes through direct contact with overseas manufactures.
* Execute the making of the project based presentation book in conjunction with Merchandising and Design partners.
* Key partner in strategy and direction of OP Clubs business with OP/ Clubs Global team.
The ideal candidate will also possess:
* 3 years experience in intimate apparel product development with exposure to multiple garment styles, Bra experience preferred.
*Proven ability to administer multiple projects, prioritize department activities and meet deadlines.
*Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact on multi-cultural level.
*Strong organizational and time management skills.
*Excel, Word skills, PLM and Illustrator
*Demonstrated initiative and ability to work both autonomously and with group.
