Our initial launch market will be in the UK with other international markets planned over subsequent years. We are currently looking for a Product development associate to join our growing team in London (Wimbledon) to work as part of the UK Business team.  The role holder will contribute to both the development of the business model within the OrbisAccess team and the product development of the proposed fund range.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who would like to broaden their exposure to a range of business disciplines, particularly product management, and has keen interest in the investment industry to work in a start-up culture backed by a successful financial establishment.

Primary responsibilities

• Supporting the creation, evolution and on-going product development of a product range including fixed income, equity and managed fund solutions. 

• Deliver input into the product life cycle, including market research, concept creation, technical implementation and launch of products. Post launch, there will be involvement in the market and business analysis for the development of new products.

• Conduct analysis of the competitive landscape for potential fund launches, including specific competitor fund comparison for input into building the business model.

• Working with software developers to define innovative features for product and service design.

• Liaise with vendors (e.g., market research agencies, creative design agencies) to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Essential Qualifications/Skills/Experience

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a product development / management role.

• Experience of the UK pooled funds market and regulations, including broad knowledge across asset classes, including equities, fixed income and derivatives.

• Exposure to the investment, marketing and operational processes of the investment management industry.

• Technical knowledge of the UK fund regulation and of product development and structuring.

• The discipline to work independently and take lead on projects, as well as working with the wider business team to tight and demanding deadlines.

• Be a self-starter with a strong work ethic.

• Excellent project management, time management and planning skills.

• Strong analytical thinking skills, preferably with a working knowledge of 3rd party databases (Lipper, Morningstar, Bloomberg, DataStream).

• Outstanding written communication skills, particularly the structuring and production of research papers and PPT.

• Bachelor’s degree with an outstanding academic record from a reputable university (preferably a 1st class/GPA3.5+ or equivalent degree).

• IMC qualification preferred ; potentially studying for CFA
