SUMMARY OF POSITION: Seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to develop lighting products for customers using Rambus patented display lighting technologies. This person will work directly with the customer to provide new product designs for use in LED display lighting and the rapidly growing LED general illumination market. Responsibilities will also include ongoing research for identification, testing, and documentation of new LED’s to be used for new product development. The candidate must be creative and have excellent problem solving skills, the ability to work on multiple projects, and have excellent communication skills. Minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or Optical Science, required, with 5-10 years of project management experience. Must be able to use 3D Solid Modeling software (Solidworks preferred), and skilled in the use of Office /Project Management software (Word, Excel, MS Project,…etc.).
