Product Development Manager – Asset Management recruitment
Responsibilities
• Support the product and new business activities development process.
• Work with sales, marketing and investment management teams to identify and quantify local product opportunities.
• Work with finance, operations and external agencies to provide support for development.
• Work with Legal/Compliance departments and legal advisers on fund creations/changes and regulatory matters.
• Undertake research for the development of specific projects, presentations and product proposals.
• Project manage the development process of specific projects, both for new products and amendments to existing products. This is likely to involve a key role in the conversion from development to implementation
• Support targeted marketing on the basis of accurate and pertinent knowledge of product, consumer, price and competitor data.
• Be a key member of a dynamic and demanding team.
Requirements
• Product development/management experience – candidates must be able to demonstrate their achievements in a UK (ideally European) environment.
• Exposure to the operational, marketing and investment processes of a major financial services entity.
• Understanding of the drivers and processes integral to successful product development and management.
• Commercial acumen
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good interpersonal skills. Ability to credibly liaise with senior and peer group colleagues and to manage and motivate junior colleagues.
• Able to demonstrate detailed and in depth knowledge of investment funds, products and UK and Offshore structures.
• Good internal and external networking ability and strong project management and organisational skills.
• A high degree of intellectual ability combined with a lateral-thinking, creative and enquiring mind.
