Product Development Manager, BI

Primary Job Responsibilities GSI is embarking on a strategic project to build a next generation Business Intelligence Platform that will serve internal and external data consumers on a global scale. The new BI platform will be constructed on best-of-breed tools, developed with a blended team of onshore/offshore resources and be designed with the following in mind: self-service reporting and analysis, flexibility, scalability, data security and a flexible, sustainable support model. This new lead position will be in the Products and Technology Group and will play a key role in the day-to-day development and delivery of required functionality of the Reporting Product suite. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong mix of software development management experience, business intelligence tool expertise, architecture experience and data modeling experience. The candidate will ensure products are delivered on-time, on-budget and with a high-degree of quality and consistency Responsibilities include: Building, motivating and mentoring a blended model, high-performance BI Development team in a dynamic, fast paced growth business Strong leadership, problem solving, organizational, diplomatic and motivational skills with ability to quickly adapt to change Work with team to establish Strategic roadmap of next generation Business Intelligence Products Work closely with business analysts and project managers to define requirements, resource levels, estimates, dependencies and project plans Work with end users in support of requirements definition as well as any necessary requirements clarifications Triaging project development issues based on severity, assigning resources to resolve and managing communications Responsible for reviewing designs, test plans and code to ensure high quality in the areas of performance, maintainability, data accuracy and quality Plan and support appropriate release management strategies and operational support transitions Perform various administrative tasks such as performance reviews, planning vacations, work schedules, training, and process compliance
