JOB SUMMARY: This position manages the product development life cycle for the development, maintenance and enhancement of new and existing Health Net products, including but not limited to the gathering of business requirements and project management of the overall development timeline. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops concepts in conjunction with product managers, including creation of scope document, impact/needs assessment and business case Facilitates efforts for requirements gathering and development of Business Areas Requirements Report (BARR) as needed Creates and maintains master project work plan to ensure deliverable dates are met Serves as project leader for cross-functional initiatives that are intended to drive performance improvement, financial gains, customer satisfaction and improved compliance Organizes and facilitates cross-functional work teams which typically include participants from sales, underwriting, actuarial, marketing, provider network management, operations to accomplish project work, including identification and confirmation of participants, establishment of a master project plan, consistent work team engagement and productivity, meeting facilitation, consensus building, recommendation documentation and implementation oversight Prepares communications and presentations to be presented at all levels of the organization Develops and leads training and communication plan for sales personnel for product introductions or enhancements Facilitates efforts to ensure development and delivery of training and communication of operational areas for new product introductions and enhancements Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position Certification/License: N/A Experience: Minimum five years experience in health insurance operations Previous project management experience required Product development and/or management preferred Knowledge, Skills Abilities: Working knowledge of health plan products and operations Familiarity with competitors products, regulatory guidelines and industry trends Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills Strong project management skills, including meeting facilitation and planning Demonstrated effectiveness in analyzing issues, predicting downstream effects and preventing or resolving problems Knowledge of internal Health Net business architecture and process flows preferred Proficiency with MS Office applications OR Any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
