Description
The Product Development team is one of the 3 pillars of the Product Management department which was put in place as part of the new Markets Investment Strategy (MIS) department. The Product Development team is composed of 6 people based in Paris. Each Product Development Manager orchestrates the fund development process, from onset to launch. This involves close collaboration with the other teams that make up the Product Management department (Range Management team Fund Promotion and Research team), as well as with the Clients and Markets pole, the investment platforms, the sales teams, communication department, etc.
Integrated to the Product Development team, your main responsibilities will be the following:
Participate to dialog with the Fixed Income investment platform (Portfolio Managers and Product Specialists) and sales teams, aiming at identifying new product development opportunities: in depth analysis of the opportunity according to AXA IM’s development strategy, assessment of commercial interest, appropriateness according to market environment, product characteristics, etc…
Orchestrate product creation process. Interact with all teams contributing to the product launch
Collaboration to Fund Research and Promotion team in the set up of marketing literature for the new products
What sorts of skills are required for the position?
• Experience in Fixed income products/funds and understanding of main FI instruments (government bonds, corporate bonds, inflation-linkers, derivatives),
• Knowledge of mutual funds characteristics (prospectus, management fees, TER, investment guidelines, benchmark, performance objective, etc.),
• Knowledge about other financial markets: equity, fund of hedge funds, structured products, etc.
• Ability to work on a project mode with organisation of meeting, coordination skills, good communication both verbal and written, meeting deadline, etc.
• Literate in MS Office especially Excel and Powerpoint
• Fluency in French and English
