Position Description: QuEST is seeking conscientious, responsible, personable, and energetic individuals to join our expanding Engineering organization immediately. The role will require you to leverage your engineering background to interact with QuEST’s and our customers’ design, manufacturing, and management teams, as well as their tools and systems. Among the detailed responsibilities will be the following: • Perform Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead and high capability engineering activities to identify technical issues and lead the team in resolving • Define and status the level 2 and level 3 schedule supporting hardware design, development certification. • Maintain the weight summary and track trade studies • Manage the team's budget and Earned Value based on the L2 schedule, and make decisions to improve lead times and reduce costs. • Ensure development hardware and Test instrumentation plans are available on time to meet the Engine Validation Plan. • Provide IPT input to Product Reviews • Mentor a team of mixed capability QuEST engineers in the IPT process • Assist in identifying opportunities for improvement and take ownership for implementation
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a technical BS degree (or equivalent experience) and 2+ years of aerospace experience with direct involvement in the IPT process – preferably in the Gas Turbine Engine industry. The following criteria will be additionally used to identify and assess top candidates: • Familiarity with the Gas Turbine Engine and the Propulsion Systems • Extent of prior Project Management including Planning, Finances, Tracking, and Reporting • Understanding of Materials and Manufacturing Processes used in gas turbine engine components • Level of interaction with suppliers / vendors • Ability to manage the customers’ perceptions and showcase QuEST’s achievements • Extent of Technical Writing conducting formal presentations • Proficiency with MS-Office Suite Tools and Creation of PowerPoint Documents • Personal Traits Attributes: Responsible, Thorough, Organized, Service Oriented • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident This is an excellent opportunity for spirited candidates seeking to apply and further develop themselves in a growing and dynamic organization.
