Viking Pump, Inc., a Unit of IDEX Corporation based in Cedar Falls, IA, is the world's leading manufacturer of rotary positive displacement pumps. We are a growing organization, seeking qualified individuals for our Product Distribution Clerk opening.
POSITION SUMMARY
Coordinate the transportation and invoicing of products in conformance with the order routing instruction, routing letter, order schedule date and/or specific customer instructions either verbal or written.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate with the Shipping Department to consolidate order releases.
- Contact Freight carriers and freight forwarders for order pickup.
- Consolidate distributor orders: domestic export. Noting any special routings, instructions, or shutdowns.
- Electronic transmission of ship notification details and invoices for specific customers.
- Generate the truck bill of lading and airbills.
- Responsible for all send outs and debit memos.
- Maintain files for freight bills and air bills. Practice record retention of files in accordance to corporate policy.
- Responsible for carrier routing guides, carrier contact information and knowledgeable of carrier coverage.
- Close all shipped orders daily in JD Edwards and/or RF Smart as required.
- Assist with tracing and proof of delivery requests.
- Create shipping labels, packing lists and other documents necessary for shipment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
- High school diploma or equivalent
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Traffic background helpful
- Must be capable of producing accurate and detailed work
