Product / Documentation Analyst recruitment

This role will be part of the Fixed Income Operations team based in London's West End. The successful candidate in this position will form part of a small team primarily supporting the CLO business. The person will have a sound understanding of loan documentation (LMA/LSTA) and be familiar with the loan settlement process.

Experience of CLO structures and testing requirements is a must. With a working knowledge of other Fixed Income Products such as bonds (High Yield, Corporate or Emerging Market) would be useful.

Individuals in this position would typically have 3-5 years experience in their assigned product/functional area.

Educated to a degree level (minimum 2.1) is essential.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Bank loan trading and settlements
• Responsible for review and settlement of Primary and Secondary loan trades. Knowledge of LMA and LSTA documentation essential to ensure trades are closed in an accurate and timely manner
• Review of due diligence to ensure all representations in documentation are reflected
• Production of KYC documentation o third parties
• Completion of required documentation relating to specific borrower jurisdictions eg. Treaty Clearance Forms, W8BENs, French borrower notifications
• Booking and settlement of all trades in LoanTrak and Aladdin, including any associated fees/paydowns/pik’s
• Daily liaison with traders, trade support, internal external counsel to address and resolve problems with underlying assets, closing requirements and subsequent ad hoc queries
• Involvement in Waiver Amendments process and liaison with Agent Banks
• Weekly reporting of unsettled and aged trades
•Build relationships with Brokers and Trustees

CDO support
• Perform and validate trade/hypo tests across various Loan portfolios
• Act as support to the CLO Portfolio Managers and CDO Analysts
• Ensuring that security data is up to date in the internal CDO system
• Producing periodic reports for the CDO team and portfolio managers
• Reconciling holdings on a bi-weekly basis between the internal record keeping system (Aladdin), the CDO record keeping system (LoanTrak) and the Trustee
• Process CDO invoices, allocating pro-rata shares across related portfolios

General and ad hoc issues
• Assuming ownership for operational issues that are raised, and providing resolution in a manner that is seamless, regardless of which operational areas are impacted
• Awareness of industry initiatives and market trends that can impact the business model and offer opportunities to improve processes
• Proactively seeking ways to improve current processes by leveraging the tools available

Education / Experience
• Educated to degree level
• 3-5 years loan documentation experience in a buy-side environment
• Familiarity with LMA/LSTA documentation and settlement process
• Detailed knowledge of bank loan operations processes
• Experience or knowledge of CLO testing mechanics (coverage profile tests)
• Knowledge of Corporate, Government, High Yield or Emerging Market Bonds
