Job Description

Product Engineer

Our Jackson, TN facility has a great opportunity for a Product Engineer with a background in new product development. This role focuses on leading our in-house manufacturing projects, the approval of all manufactured components through the use of the PPAP system, managing plant project implementations and providing post-launch product support. The Product Engineer is responsible for maintaining the integrity of existing products through design changes, review of non-conforming products and reviewing the impact of tooling and process changes.

This position requires good project management, communications and structured problem solving skills. The ideal candidate will have the demonstrated ability to multi-task in complex and high volume manufacturing environments. They must be innovative and knowledgeable of the manufacturing processes that produce faucets and their components such as machining, brazing,finishing and assembly. They must understand the design and code requirements of products and processes to allow them to explain and comprehend those needs to their internal and external customers as well as suppliers. This role would work closely with a Tooling/Process Engineer to develop the new products and new manufacturing processes as well as improvements to existing products and processes using structured problem solving.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working in teams and must have a strong background in LEAN manufacturing techniques. A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology with a minimum of 3 years experience as an Engineer in a manufacturing environment is required.
