Product Engineer
- Develops and maintains product lines in accordance with industry standards and individual customer requirements.
- Responsible for the engineering database (specifications, drawings, procedures) for assigned product lines.
- Consults with and coordinates the engineering effort with customers, Marketing, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
- Develops engineering specifications for customer special valves.
- Oversees the design and drafting in product development, and ensures layouts, drawings and documentation are prepared in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations.
- Generates procedures for product testing, repair and maintenance, cleaning, packaging, etc.
- Performs product testing to establish and validate product performance to specifications.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all Codes and Standards applicable to the assigned product lines. Reviews Code addenda and documents changes affecting Tyco products.
- May perform other special duties or projects as requested by Product Engineering Manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and five years experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of valves, actuators, and controls strongly preferred.
