Position: Product Engineer, Seat Engineering
Location: Plymouth, MI
An Engineer with strong interest in product design and excellent communication skills is needed to work on vehicle seating systems. The Engineer will be responsible for supporting technical and program interactions with the customer platform team and the General Assembly Plant.
The Engineer will be the key liasion between the customer, JCI and other Tier 1 suppliers for coordinating product design, drawing releases and validation and will be spending time betweeen the customer site locations and JCI technical centers. This is a customer facing role and will require onsite engagement at customer location and the General Assembly Plant.
Positon requires Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or Electrical Engineering. 2 to 4 years prior work experience in automotive seating or interiors preferabley in a customer new product launch role. Prior automotive experience as an Intern/ Co-op will be considered. Familiarity with UG and Catia V5 an added plus. Willing to consider new engineering graduates that have a passion for the Automotive Industry.
