Overview of Role

• Assist in preparation of product documentation such as prospectuses, Key Investor Information Documents (KIID), proof reading of materials, obtaining signoffs from internal departments, etc.

• Maintenance of product related information on various websites and fund databases.

• Liaise with 3rd party information service providers on funds information.

• Assist in the production of competitive analysis for focus funds, SICAV quarterly reports and ad hoc business requests.

• Provide on-going product support to local sales/marketing teams in the distribution of funds in Asia and Europe.

Core Functional Responsibilities

The role will be responsible for:

1.Product Documentation:

• Work with a number of internal departments and service providers to ensure the smooth production of KIID in English and other required languages.

• Assist in proof reading of prospectuses and other legal documents and liaise with printers for changes required.

• Procure signoffs from internal departments prior to lodgment of funds’ documentation to the regulators.

2.Maintenance of fund databases and websites:

• Ensure the fund information is updated and uploaded on the websites regularly.

• Maintain records of key funds information and liaise with 3rd party information service providers such as Bloomberg, Lipper, Morningstar, etc. on any fund changes.

3.Produce competitive analysis for focus funds and ad hoc business requests:

• Produce competitive analysis using existing template for the quarterly focus funds.

• Support business ad hoc requests on competitive analysis for marketing campaigns or new product development discussion.

4.Provide on-going product support to local sales/marketing teams in the distribution of funds in Asia and Europe :

• Assist in furnishing product related information such as updated prospectuses, factsheets, fund prices, dividend history, etc.

Typical Skill Set

The role requires a good understanding on product documentation requirements of the asset management business. The candidate should be meticulous, with an eye for detail. The incumbent should have good interpersonal skills to work with internal departments and service providers.

Key Attributes

The Product Executive should:

• Have at least a Diploma in Business or the equivalent.

• Have at least 1 to 3 years experience in financial industry preferably in asset management companies or the funds division of banks. 

• Possess good interpersonal skills to work with internal departments and service providers.

• Be able to work independently.

• Be very meticulous with an eye for detail.

• Observe and adhere to all reporting deadlines but with flexibility in his/her execution.

• Possess fluent written and spoken English. Written and spoken Putonghua or other Asian languages would be a significant advantage.
