In this role the individual will serve as the overall leader of products and services designed to meet the specific business objectives, manage complex issues within area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, manage the specific product line strategy and contribute to the overall business strategy for the group. Essential Responsibilities The individual will lead all aspects related to the management and expansion of the products and services associated with the specific product line. The general manager will serve as a member of the business senior leadership team and participate in the development and execution of the overall business strategy and execution to meet the stated objectives of the group. In this role of Product Line Leader, you will: - Be responsible for all aspects of product development and delivery to the marketplace, with focus around product growth through product improvements and market expansion - Be responsible for product improvement, revenue growth, strategic sales, and operational delivery of product strategy - Monitor product financials, setting direction and improvement plans for delivery of product pricing and CM as defined by the business plan - Have New Product Introduction (NPI) Definition Oversight - Understand the product marketplace; know the competition and the product strengths and weaknesses to define the multi- generational product plan (MGPP) - Define the market pricing models necessary to ensure product competitiveness and maximize product profitability - Lead Customer User Groups to help define client funded product evolution - Build the business cases with marketing: Generate cost estimates development strategies to support MGPP New Product Introduction (NPI) - Manage and implement the NPI tollgate process ensuring all cross-functional support is being followed - Develop and deliver NPI functional specifications to the engineering development team - Work with the IS Training to create training materials and training plans for the product - Track ongoing needs for Product improvement for consideration in the S2 NPI budget to ensure competitiveness, market leadership and continued product longevity - Work with Sales to establish regional strategies for the client base - With Marketing, create value proposition tools with supporting case studies, as appropriate - Work with Marketing to develop product macros to enhance the product sale-ability - Support marketing as required in the development of marketing plans strategies including symposium / board involvement - Directly support sales on key accounts and large orders - Be responsible for customer interaction and support as defined and required by the business Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college - Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management, Operations, or Sales Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
