Based in Brisbane, you will report to the Country Manager as you source new contacts and work with your existing mining customers. You will promote the sales of your dewatering engineered product line and use your commercial strategies to plan the expansion of your customer base, visit sites, forge relationships and take ownership, making this not just a job, but your business. Your task is made easier as you can confidently promote the company’s commitment to ongoing aftermarket service and parts support. Your primary contacts will be EPCs, Maintenance Superintendents, Project Managers and Mine Site Managers and the contact base you can bring will cement your success in business growth. Flexibility to travel is essential as you will likely spend half of your time away as you meet with your Australian customers.
To be successful you will have:
- Fitter Trade qualification or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
- Sound mechanical aptitude
- Pumps experience or a background in fluid dynamics or hydraulics
- Mining experience is essential
- Strong negotiation skills
- Business development capability
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers, in particular on mine sites
- Business acumen
