PRODUCT MANAGEMENT ANALYST, CARD SOLUTIONS

 

The Position

This position will be responsible for managing complex tactical level credit card product management initiatives in the following areas, new product development, credit card customer management, credit card retention, alliance development and White Label/ Co-branded Credit Card Implementations.

Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Includes but not limited to the following:

·         Responsible for facilitating the development of extensive analytics including statistical modeling as applied to segmentation and new customer acquisition, customer management, loyalty program optimization, Customer Profitability and Lifetime Value, Campaign ROI, financial performance and program cost management.

·         Responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting the Canadian credit card market constantly and consistently in the areas of, pricing, Consumer Value Proposition, Portfolio Development trends and initiatives. Optimizing cardholder engagement and generating growth of the credit card portfolio.

·         Keep current with business requirements, relevant changes to products and services, market considerations and the overall banking business and credit card environment

·         Assist in campaign and loyalty analysis, tracking, interpreting results and recommending appropriate enhancements

·         Assume a Project Manager role for projects pertaining to product development 

·         Performance portfolio and campaign analysis

·         Assist with Business Case development 

·         Identify marketing opportunities as well as access product profitability as well as track performance on various products

·         Assist with product development and customer retention strategies

 

 

Background Requirements (Education/Licensing/Certification)

·         Degree in Commerce or Business Administration or experience in a related role

·         Project Management experience  within a business development/ marketing environment.   PMP certified preferred or alternatively willing to take the PMP Examination within 6 months of hire.

·         Minimum of 3-5 years product support and/or analyst experience

·         Credit Card, loyalty marketing and/or financial services background required.

 

Skills and Proficiency

·         Proficient with marketing and industry related databases

·         Working knowledge of SQL, EXCEL and SPSS; expertise with data tables and various market research resources

·         Knowledge of techniques used for profiling, segmentation, and targeting response analysis

·         Demonstrated ability in planning and scheduling abilities MS Project, Project Management Methodology

·         Demonstrable knowledge of Canadian financial regulatory environment would be an asset.
