Product Manager – Collaboration and Messaging recruitment

The Product Manager will be globally responsible for the product strategy for a portfolio of products related to the Products. This product portfolio is made of up:

• SharePoint and other web based technologies
• Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007/2010
• Internet Boundary Services
• Regulatory/Operational Compliance Archiving Systems

The Product Manager has global responsibility for the Plan and Build of these products and services, recognizing and adjusting for differences within the regions.

• Maintains an understanding of client requirements and business strategies
• Understands client-satisfaction criteria, establishes service levels and corresponding performance measures
• Negotiates service levels and pricing with both internal and external service providers
• Assesses product strengths and weaknesses in the context of the client’s current requirements
• Guides technology research efforts in support of product strategies
• Customizes, models and prices new products
• Manages product bundles comprised of internal and sourced components
• Initiates and approves projects (approval depends on project type)
• Models and prices alternative products (Benchmarking)
• In conjunction with Service Delivery Managers and CTO, drives standardization into products
• Collects information on competitor deployment of technology product(s)

Requirements

The candidate should have significant experience in the management of global or regional, large to medium-scale product strategy design and engineering consisting of multiple streams of work and varying levels of technology. Successful candidates should have a working knowledge of SharePoint, messaging and mobile technologies including Regulatory/Operational Compliance Archiving Systems

The position requires:
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans, identify, manage, and mitigate risks and solve issues when they arise
• Strong leadership skills, providing for clear direction and possessing proven experience in performance management, business management, Vendor management/networking and product management.
• Significant technology (product) proficiency in core business technologies
• Strong communications skills in order to communicate with executive management teams, the lines of businesses as well as with project and program managers within and external providers. Experience in large global firm, with specific experience in technology infrastructure environment.
• Have demonstrated experience managing suppliers and have extensive international experience
