Product Manager – Energy and Mining Job in Richmond, British Columbia Canada
Position Description:
Are you a seasoned individual who has experience in Product Management? Are you willing to take on challenges in pushing a business unit into expanding its presence?
Onshore, offshore, and arctic services are currently being offered to the Oil Gas industry and will be a core element MDA’s business. As a result, we have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager in our Energy and Mining Business Unit.
The Product Manager is responsible for both product planning and product marketing exploration for specific key segments of the Business Unit. You will be managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, identifying market needs and trends, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision moving forward, leading the effort to crystallize the technical offering, and working closely with operations to deliver winning products. You will also be working directly with customers, supporting sales, and coordinating with marketing and others to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Responsibilities:
- Define the product strategy and roadmap
- Deliver Product and Market Requirement Documents with prioritized features and corresponding justification
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and channel opportunities
- Be an expert in your field
- Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
- Perform product demos to customers internationally
- Set pricing targets
- Develop sales tools and collateral with Marketing
- Lead proposal teams
- Brief and train the sales force and channel partners
- Understand and propose relevant marketing opportunities
Requirements (experience/skills):
- Experience as a Product Manager, Product Marketing Manager, or relevant role
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead teams toward a common goal and expending market presence
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
