Product Manager – Later Life and Protection
Key responsibilities
1. Market analysis
To monitor and assess the relevant markets, and provide creative and analytical analysis to support the product development process. To drive agreed product development initiatives.
2. Technical support (internal and external)
To provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders on Care, Equity Release and Protection products, together with associated market specialities such as State Benefits and use of trusts. Act as a subject matter expert supporting projects as appropriate.
3. Legal and regulatory oversight
To maintain statutory and regulatory compliance of the Care, Equity Release and Protection suite of products
4. To lead and manage the team:
To lead, manage and optimise standards of performance of the team, ensuring all performance management processes and general operational management tasks are undertaken effectively and to time
5. Maintain competence : To maintain your own competence and personal development
Person profile
Experience of working within financial service product management at a senior level, including care, equity release, protection, taxation or contracts with trustees. A unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.
Skills and knowledge
Essential:
Excellent communications and management skills
Self starter
Good education background, ideally degree level (Marketing or business orientated degree) or equivalent
Desirable:
Industry qualifications such as CII – AF1, AF2, J02, CF8, CF6, ER1, R01, R05
Experience of Long Term Care, Protection or Equity Release markets
