BASIC PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

Vital Images is looking for a talented Product manager to manage their clinical product suite.
The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

OVERALL OUTPUTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop product line plans: 3 year strategic view, 2 year tactical, 1 year operational
• Define the product strategy and roadmap
• Plan and manage product related market research
• Identify prioritized features and corresponding justification
• Participate in the development of overall business strategy
• Develop and manages product plans to achieve objectives
• Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of stakeholders
• Influence internal and external stakeholders to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches
• Interface with downstream marketing to help with Go-to-market planning. Contributes to development of marketing literature
• Work with sales leaders to ensure global development needs are met. Provide hands-on sales support
• Interface directly with the Quality Leader to obtain necessary approvals for new products.
• Manage product channel segmentation
• Transition to product and operational marketing post-launch

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Product Manager
• Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
• Clinical/healthcare experience preferred
• 5 years of experience in a job in the healthcare market
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Ability to build and manage relationships across a large enterprise
• Ability to work with all levels of organization
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
• Ability to assert ideas
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to travel 20%

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. No unusual physical requirements
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours can vary and expand as dictated by project demands.
