PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The SAP Technology Innovation Platform – Data and Analytics Engine (DAE) Product Management team is responsible for driving the product definition and core message for SAP's next generation memory-resident data and analytics engine. The team is responsible for the portfolio of products consisting of SAP HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Business Warehouse Accelerator, MaxDB, SAP Enterprise Search and numerous other technologies in the In-Memory, Database, Data Warehousing and unstructured data management area. The DAE product management is a global team that supports development colleagues across multiple development labs.

This team's purpose is to have deep working knowledge of:
* The market, the customer and the competitive factors that guide our strategy
* The technical considerations and constraints that form and impact our strategic direction

To own and deliver on the following objectives:
* Develops core Product Management content for field enablement and marketing
* Maintains a stakeholder-focused product strategy and product roadmap
* Serves as a single point of contact for specifying portfolio scope via PRDs
* Works together with development to align, budget and prioritize development
* Defines end-to-end scenarios and functional specifications
* Manages sign-off by RD and stakeholders
* Guides the development process in scope changes
* Executes on end-to-end scenario validation
* Evangelizes Product feature and functions with stakeholders and customers

Propagating an exceptional team that:

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

The SAP HANA Product Management team requires a senior technical product manager who will be responsible for defining product requirements, managing the full 360 lifecycle of products from specification to delivery to consumption while serving as a product and subject matter evangelist . A strong, hands-on oriented technical background is mandatory for this position. The technical product manager interacts on a daily basis with development teams, product architects, field support teams and key product stakeholders including SAP solution teams, partners and customers. In addition, the technical product manager will also manage one or more major technical projects in support of the overall development process.

The technical product manager:

WORK EXPERIENCE
* 4+ yrs product management experience

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science, EECS or foreign degree equivalent.
* 2+ years of Database design, architecting, database modeling and/or administration required.
* 4+ years of Product Management experience
* Working knowledge of Database architecture, design principles and SQL/MDX
* Extensive product requirement definition experience
* Hands-on Database and middleware implementation experience preferred
* Experience in managing large scale programs with cross multi-site projects
* Knowledge of PIL, Lean/agile, Scrum and portfolio planning processes
* Proven track record with delivering and managing high profile projects in a rapidly changing product environment
* Excellent verbal, written, social media and presentation communication skills
* Excellent good organization skill
