Product Manager - Enterprise IT Products
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for the overall product revenue and market share in North America. Partners with the sales staff to develop pre-sales product market analysis, generate strategy and plan, pricing. Develops business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Understands customer's network environment and deployment plan to provide customized solutions and product recommendations. Works with customer for product introduction/presentation, RFI/RFP response, network configuration, product lab testing and field trial management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops specific marketing plans and activities for server and/or storage products or product lines to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.
- Develops business plans and product positioning in the market place.
- Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs.
- Establishes pricing strategies.
- Maintains current status of customer requirements for existing and future products.
- Identifies, evaluates and recommends marketing opportunities consistent with product line objectives.
- Works with engineering, service, and sales to develop new products or enhance existing products or product lines.
- Serves as lead to other product managers staff.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (Refers to the job, not the incumbent)
Education and/or Certifications/Licensures:
Minimum: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, computer science, telecommunication or equivalent technical degree.
Relevant Work Experience:
Minimum:
- Self-driven, target oriented.
- 4-8 years product management experience in the server space.
- Familiar with product plan, roadmap management, requirement analysis, competitor analysis.
- Excellent presentation and consultative skills required. Excellent interpersonal skills and must have a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Profound understanding about NA industry market, rich knowledge of enterprise market, business model and services. (Energy, transportation, education, large enterprise and so on)
- Self-starter, be ready to grow with the team.
Preferred: Experience in sales/system engineering
Skills (Technical and/or General):
Minimum: Strong Enterprise background, especially work experience in the area of enterprise server solutions is a must
Preferred: Storage, Cloud Computing and/or Data Center knowledge and experience is preferred.
