Product Manager

The prime objective of this global role is to identify opportunities, manage the development, implementation and management of new/enhanced collateral management products to deliver end to end solutions in support of HSS and client needs.

Treasury products include :

The client base includes all HSS client sectors across Global Custody, Sub Custody, Funds and Corporate Trust, supporting HSS’ aspiration to become market leading in chosen markets and segments as the core provider of securities services solutions to targeted institutional and globally connected clients

Initial assessment of changing market and client needs, primarily driven by a significant change to the regulatory control of OTC derivatives collateral, indicates a major change in the nature and structure of collateral management. This provides both an opportunity and threat to Global custody providers as clients, increasingly investing in the synthetic as well as cash markets, seek all-embracing, consistent and end-to-end solutions from their providers.

HSS urgently need to research, position and refine alternatives, develop solutions and deliver such a proposition, on a phased basis as needed, consistent across HSS regions and complementary to Markets evolving capabilities, to reflect this changing market topology

In support of the strategic direction set by the Head of Treasury Product, the candidate will work closely with the HSS team, RMs, Markets SMEs and external influencers and clients, to identify required developments to the product proposition and will have primary responsibility for the development and implementation to BAU of supporting processes and services, often in conjunction with colleagues in HSS IT and Service delivery.

Characteristics that can ensure success in this position would be someone of a probing and inquisitive nature, analytically minded, have solid and effective planning and communication skills and be comfortable working in a fast paced and demanding environment.
