Product Manager
Ratings Operations’ purpose is to enable analytic teams to deliver high-quality, accurate, and timely credit ratings services to market by providing excellent process and operational support. We are responsible for supporting in 4 key areas: (1) Lead strategic process design and transformation, (2) Manage daily ratings processing (including workflow governance product management), (3) Provide support for regulatory compliance process integration, (4) Provide forward-planning, communications and change management support.
Across these four areas of work, our teams are driving for simplification and standardization in processes procedures, operational excellence and continuous process improvement in daily ratings support, and customer-focused communications and change management efforts, all of which will help analytic teams operate more effectively.
Reporting to VP Ratings Operations Asia Pacific, the product manager will interact with project champions, process architect, business analyst and IT delivery manager to manage the development direction for various workflow and analytical products and processes and manage the overall operational performance. The product manager will report out regularly to Asia Pacific Leadership team to outline the project level and operational achievements and plans. In addition, Asia Pacific regulatory and market needs must be reflected in the design and use of the tools, while their global integrity is maintained. Asia Pacific product manager is necessary to ensure that Asia Pacific regulatory, market and customer needs are adequately represented in the strategic and tactical development of the analytical and workflow tools.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing internal Asia Pacific stakeholders to achieve decisions on features and enhancement prioritization globally
- Coordinates with global system development teams to ensure they meet the defined Asia Pacific SP business and operational objectives
- Play a pivotal role in the Agile Development Process and guides information Technology and Project Management in:
- Collecting business requirements, translating requirements into User Stories, defining the acceptance criteria, taking daily decisions to solve problems and triage defects, prioritizing the product backlog and defining delivery objectives for each Sprint that are aligned with the overall Product Roadmap for Asia Pacific specific needs
- Develop a comprehensive training plan for all new and current users. Track all training metrics for the Asia Pacific analytic teams. Liaise with Training Administrators to ensure new training materials meet the users’ needs
- Prepare communications to the user community, such as: newsletters, user surveys, release notifications, and scheduled outage notifications
- Manage user tester groups (made up of analytical staff) during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure they are adequately testing the product
- Contact users directly to provide assistance with product issues and to ensure corrected issues reported by the users are closed
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in Financial Services with solid knowledge of Information Systems Principles, Operational management, Process engineering, and Product Management
- Experience and knowledge in business process
- Experience and knowledge with IT systems and development
- Familiarity with AGILE process framework
- Comfortable in a fast paced, multi-deadline driven environment
- Ability to collaborate with and influence senior and peer personnel
- Education: BS, MS or MBA with IT or MIS concentration required. Operations Management and/or systems engineering credentials and experience with complex workflow systems are necessary
