Product Manager, Clinical Decision Support Job

GE Healthcare is building the next generation electronic health record system designed to transform patient care worldwide and is seeking top product management talent and clinical decision support domain expert with the creativity and innovation to drive this product to market. This is a key role in the Clinical Knowledge Solutions team responsible to provide strategic direction and execution planning around the clinical decision support and clinical decision content within this system. The clinical decision support foundation will enable the practice of evidence based medicine, improve patient safety and promotes translational medicine. Responsibilities Extend and execute a strategy for using clinical decision support in advanced healthcare IT systems including how clinical decision support integrates with knowledge management. Define functionalities and requirements for the clinical decision support platform. Define the functionalities and requirements for tools that will maintain and support the clinical decision system. Develop and maintain the clinical decision logic (rules) used in the clinical decision system. Close collaboration with marketing team to ensure market opportunities and needs are reflected in product plans and requirements. Driving the product portfolio to meet the needs of the market. Responsible for strategy and execution of the product roadmaps and new product introductions. Working with customers on long term product roadmaps, requirements, and business plans. Coordinating the needs across a multi-functional organization, including marketing, sales, operations, engineering, and services teams, while ensuring compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements. Establish tradeoffs between internal development and business partnership activities with strategic partners including contract negotiations and maintenance, product changes, forecasting financials. Conducting product research to further understand the competitive profile for the segment worldwide and opportunities for growth. Margin improvement opportunities, including working with services on cost. Ensuring customer focus by communicating and building rapport with customers as required and ensuring the voice of the customer is reflected in work processes. Drive operating mechanisms to ensure behavior consistent with integrity, quality systems, and EHS requirements. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare or related field 2+ years years experience in product management 4+ years experience in Medical Informatics or decision support systems management Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong analytical and process skills Experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions, able to clearly communicate complex technical information in a easy to understand manner, able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing Must submit application for employment through gecareers.com (or COS if internal) to be considered Must be 18 years of age or older Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Desired Characteristics Advance degree in Medical Informatics or BioInformatics 6+ years experience in product management, product development or related field 3+ years experience in clinical decision supports systems Deep Product Management expertise, including: New Product introductions, product roadmap development, product life-cycle management, Healthcare product/industry/technical acumen Leadership skills to lead teams and shape/lead growth vision and marketing strategy Innovation develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas Team oriented ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams Strong analytical and process skills Proven ability to work globally Proven ability to influence and negotiate internally and with customers. MD/BSN/PhD/PA/LPN with strong knowledge of clinical processes and an understanding of hospital clinical operations and quality management.
