Product Manager, Fixed Income Indices recruitment

The individual will manage the fixed income index products in Europe and will be responsible for delivery and execution of the product strategy and will work closely with the business head and clients to develop and deliver new bond indices in Europe.
A large part of the responsibilities includes research and design of new indices, working with clients to design, test and develop new benchmark, liquid (tradable) and custom indices, prioritizing projects, implementing new indices in the systems. The individual will also be expected to assist significantly in the scoping of enhancements and strategic requirements for operations and technology projects.
After successful development, set-up, and client sign-off, the securities selection and daily production of the indices are handed over in due course to the Index Operations team.
Day to day duties will involve:
- Directly managing the fixed income index team in London and supervising the fixed income index implementation team in London/Frankfurt
- Working closely with banks, asset managers and other market participants to deliver benchmark, liquid/tradable and bespoke indices in bonds
- There will also be requirements to develop indices that cover multiple asset classes
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent knowledge of financial markets
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent
- A detailed technical knowledge of fixed income indices or structured products, and specific knowledge of OTC markets and products is required
- A genuine interest in growing the clients’ Indices business
- Proven track record in designing and developing indices or structured products for cash bonds and/or other asset classes traded over the counter
- Demonstrable management background is required
- High degree of commercial awareness. Needs to be motivated by commercial impact
