Product Manager for Virtual Desktop Solutions Job in Galway, Galway Ireland

As a Product Manager for Virtual Desktop Solutions, the individual will lead efforts within the team to define, develop, and deliver solutions in support of Cisco’s strategy for Desktop Virtualization. Key responsibilities of this role include an awareness of business solutions leveraging key virtualization technologies and unified communications and the market forces shaping the same. One of the key initiatives for this role will be to ensure superior product management execution and collaboration with cross business / cross-functional teams, setting priorities to ensure that the needs of customers are satisfied while simultaneously ensuring that products are delivered to the market with the right features, positioning, pricing and promotion. Knowledge base to consist of end user needs, segment buying behaviors, service / product offerings, business practices, economics, go to market models, and investment plans. The successful individual will be expected to display demonstrated ability to guide a project team to the successful completion of the product development effort and its successful market introduction in alignment with Cisco business goals and objectives. Ability to interact with customers, partners and internal organizations and to be able to clearly and concisely communicate our business message required.

In addition to these primary duties, the expectations of an individual in this role include, but are not limited to: Ability to work independently to ensure success of critical projects and initiatives; Determines and communicates the business value proposition and business case associated with the strategy; Works effectively with Cisco's alliance, partner and channel organizations to establish relationships necessary to execute the defined strategy; Works with field and solutions teams to develop overall assurance product strategy and roadmap; Works with Marketing Communications to create effective messaging.

Professional Experience:
The individual should possess an outstanding track record of success in delivering desktop client products and ability to optimize the return on investment.

Education:
Requires BSEE/CS, Finance, Business or equivalent plus 5+ year’s relevant experience in product marketing, product management, or business development. Direct experience in Desktop Virtualization desired. MBA preferred.
