Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Manager II - Job description
- Translate business requirements into Functional Specifications which define the functional requirements necessary to execute the business needs
- Gather functional requirements by engaging the appropriate users and stakeholders in requirements gathering sessions using various methodologies including use case analysis, and business process analysis, and workflow modeling
- Act as a key player in a cross-functional team led by Project Management, to implement business objectives and project deliverables
- Work closely with development and users to communicate functional requirements and convey the business needs
- Participate in analysis and design to provide feedback to development
- Analyze and provide feedback on the business needs documents
- Responsible for product definition and execution to support business processes of various Chase Paymentech departments.
- Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements
- Define new business process or changes to existing business processes as necessary to support the integration of new products and services into our existing business model.
- Collaborate with QA and Business Product Managers on Test Scenarios based on functional requirements.
- Recommend technical and process improvements where possible to improve the overall effectiveness or marketability of a product
- Create new procedures when appropriate to improve operational proficiency
- Create and maintain documentation on components, applications, and products of Chase Paymentech after each project
- Train Technical and Business product within two weeks after project goes live on the topic
- Provide monthly status
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or related field with 3 to 5 years of product, project or related experience - preferred
- An understanding of the software development cycle, product positioning, knowledge outside of the product function in the areas of finance, operations, etc.
- Understanding of the payments space, including credit card, bank ACH, Cash and/or Treasury Management, or transaction processing preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of the merchant boarding process, Peoplesoft CRM application, post deposit events, and chargebacks would be helpful.
