Job Description The Product Manager is responsible for the management of a suite of eCommerce capabilities (products) which support the overall web experience. The Product Manager is responsible for the overall strategic roadmap for a product set, which includes capability assessments within the context of the competitive landscape. In addition, the Product Manager will perform on-going analysis to better understand the features and capabilities that are required for continuous improvement and success. Based on market-driven feedback from customers and stakeholders, the Product Manager will drive clear product requirements. The Product Manager will work closely with Business Program Management team and the IT Product and Program teams to define the contents and delivery of a product release. Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements Responsibilities ? Responsibility for a suite of eCommerce capabilities (products) which support the overall web experience, with direct accountability for the success of the product suite. ? Management of each individual product lifecycle, from understanding a concept or the current state, assessing gaps, defining key capabilities, working across the organization to develop requirements, working with IT to understand tradeoffs, through product launch and the ongoing management of the product post launch. ? Use market research, customer surveys, and web analytic data to understand customer and business needs, discovering latent gaps, identifying new opportunities to ultimately define a product roadmap. ? Serves as expert on trendsetting practices in e-commerce and retail for product suite to continue to develop new opportunities, including analysis and documentation of competitor best practices. ? Develop cogent and realistic business case scenarios for new product capabilities ? to rationalize resource investments. ? Transform complex concepts into executable plans and customer experiences ? Manage product innovation through cross-functional teams focusing on new product capabilities and services. ? Anticipate industry and product trends, capability prioritization and tradeoffs, balancing business needs versus technical constraints. ? Drive implementation of new vendor / product deployments ? Manage key vendor / product relationships ? including contract negotiation in partnership with Procurement. ? Build strong relationships across the Customer Direct business functions, with the IT organization, and vendor community ? Understand complex process and system interdependencies in order to ensure successful product execution Experience/Education Requirements ? Project Management / Program Management ? Merchandising ? Familiarity with Web Based / eCommerce Technologies ? 4 year Bachelor?s Degree / MBA preferred Years Experience 2 - 5 Years Experience Preferred Minimum Education Bachelors Level Degree Travel Requirements None
