Product Manager--IR Assemblies
Description:
Product manager required to lead IR Assembly business for customers in N S. America and Canada to meet or exceed the company's annual operating plan for bookings, revenue, and profit.
Responsibilities:
* Grow the existing business and seek out new order opportunities,
* Develop quotations (price and schedule), negotiate with customer to ensure order is won, and ensure the order is properly entered into an ERP system.
* Proposal support for other markets on an as needed basis
* Market company's capabilities
* New customer/product/order development
* Resource, market analysis, formal customer presentations, customer relationship building.
* Technical paper writing and presentations in trade journals and conferences and bookings/revenue forecasting and reporting.
* Will work closely with VP Marketing and Sales, CEO, Sales Managers, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Production Planning, Finance and Executive Management to ensure Customer Satisfaction and market growth.
Required Skills:
* BS in Optics, Physics or related engineering field;
* 6 years experience in optics or other high-precision manufacturing required.
* Minimum of 4 years of Product Management, Program Management, Business Development, Product Development or Sales Management experience required.
* Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance and be a US Citizen
* 6 years+ experience in Product Management or Sales of infrared optical assemblies on a contract manufacturing basis in the defense market.
* Able to develop pricing strategies, manage profit / loss, possess an entrepreneurial spirit, and be able to manage a multitude of demanding customers.
