PRODUCT MANAGER

International Greetings PLC, an internationally acclaimed Gift Wrap, Greeting Card and stationery  company, offers an exciting opportunity to join our team at our prestigious offices opposite the Perimeter Mall in Atlanta, GA.

The Product Manager is charged with product line contribution, including increasing the profitability of existing products and developing profitable new products based on market needs, competitive analysis and interaction with Creative, Sales and Customers


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Specify market requirements for current and future products through primary research, secondary research, syndicated data and supported by on-going interaction with Sales and with Customers

Manage the entire product line life cycle from product development through growth and maturity to obsolescence 

Develop and write annual brand plans which detail products, sales and margin forecasts, pricing and promotions / advertising needed to market the brand’s product lines and manage each brand’s product release schedules:

-Create and manage line lists

-Ensure that complete and accurate product specifications are generated

-Liaison with Sourcing / Purchasing to ensure product specs are met, pricing/margin objectives are achieved and quality is ensured

-Oversee creation of catalogs for each release, including writing critical copy, ensuring pricing accuracy and interacting with Creative to approve product photography

Control purchase price variance by assisting Sourcing/Purchasing through product design recommendations, manufacturing process discussions, buying quantities and vendor selection

Work in close coordination with Inventory Analyst to ensure optimal on hand inventory

Communicate royalty information to Customer Service and Contract Department for item and royalty setup

 

Complete other projects and duties as assigned by Management.

Experience, Competencies, and Education

·        Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent experience.

·        A minimum of 5 years professional exempt level experience in the consumer products industry.

·        A proven record of success in coordinating product development projects.

·        A clear understanding of the consumer products industry.

·        Must be able to work independently, multi task and prioritize competing demands.

·        Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are required to work effectively and interface with cross functional teams and internal management.
