Deluxe Digital Studios (DDS) is a leading supplier of DVD, Blu-ray, BD Live, and digital distribution post production services, including subtitling and localization, theatrical dubbing services, video compression, encoding, authoring, menu design, bonus content production, audio, and network services. DDS is a global company with presence in 6 countries. Our clients include the major Hollywood studios as well as a growing number of on-line retailers.
We currently have an opening for a Product Manager. This position is located in Burbank, California.
Position Overview
Deluxe is looking for a technically savvy and innovative Product Manager to work on their mobile and digital distribution products. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference to the rapidly evolving digital entertainment ecosystem. The Product Manager will manage the product lifecycle from conception to completion while drawing ideas from both internal and external teams.
Primary Responsibilities
· Create MRDs and PRDs after thorough market and competitive analysis.
· Assess technical product requirements.
· Assist in creating product strategy and product roadmaps.
· Create user interaction designs and flows.
· Project costing and product valuation.
· Communicate and coordinate with developers, quality assurance, project management, sales and operations to ensure business objectives are met in a timely fashion.
· Conduct product demos to business partners and customers. Effectively pitch product ideas to internal and external teams.
· Assist in conducting focus group studies.
· Ensure that the quality of the product is consistent with clients and end users expectations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill-set:
- BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field required. MBA preferred.
- At least 3 years product management experience in the areas of Mobile Apps, Digital Media or eCommerce.
- Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Must possess a general knowledge of multimedia, mobile devices and other consumer electronic devices.
- Demonstrated ability of being consumer focused.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Strong in both written and verbal communications.
- Extensive experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Ability to perform under stress and uncertainty.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Must be highly organized and be able to work in a fast-paced, small team environment.
- Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet project deadlines.
