Job Description:-
A Project Manager is required to be responsible for managing the successful completion of our clients projects. In particular the Project Manager will ensure that the project successfully delivers a satisfactory result for both our client and their customer. This will require as a minimum that the project is delivered in accordance with the agreed specification, on time and within budgeted cost. To do this the Project Manager will need to manage a wide range of different specialist personnel and suppliers and to build excellent relationships with all project stakeholders.
Reporting into the Technical Manager you will adhere to the following duties:
Identify and plan for the development of new opportunities
Assist the Proposals team to develop new opportunities
Review the scope and specification of new projects as early as possible (ideally before contract award). Assist the Sales team to structure a workable proposal. Check the final documentation for compliance with the offered proposal.
Once agreed, take full ownership for the performance of the project, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, to the agreed specification, to the agreed quality, safely and within budgeted cost.
Create a good relationship with the Customer ensuring the desire from the Customer to place repeat / future orders to our client.
Identify risks as they may arise, both at the start of the project or during execution, where possible find solutions to mitigate these risks.
Ensure compliance with our clients/customers quality systems, relevant standards and controls.

Costs vs. budget
Risks, technical, commercial or contractual
Ensure all invoices are raised in accordance with contract
Authorise payment to suppliers only when agreed scope and requirements are achieved in full
Any other task which may be reasonably requested
Manage our clients projects from order sales handover to aftermarket handover
Agree KPI’s for project
Review all contract documentation, and ensure the project team can deliver the agreed KPI’s
Ensure the necessary specialist project personnel are available to assist the project team at the right time to ensure the project is delivered on time
Jointly manage with functional management specialist project personnel
Establish and maintain a good and close working relationship with the client throughout the project
Develop and maintain a detailed and achievable project programme
Monitor and manage the project in line with agreed KPI’s
Review all aspects of the project regularly with the project team, identify and resolve issues as they arise, ensure the team are kept well informed.
Approve all time and material resources used for the project to ensure budget costs are achieved
Raise customer invoices in accordance with agreed specification
Provide the client, suppliers and internal teams, good quality information in a timely manner
Maintain detailed records of project progress and correspondence
Comply with all the requirements of our clients quality assurance system, customer specifications, national and international directives and standards, and other statutory requirements
Previous project management experience is a must with industry knowledge of high capital value equipment being desirable. Good relevant engineering knowledge, with the ability to discuss all technical aspects of the project is ideal as well as the ability to interpret and present financial details and reports.
This opportunity will have some international travel and you will have to work in all types of industrial plant so you must have UK driving license.
Working hours – 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday
