Product Manager

Job Description:

Oversee and coordinate the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serve as liaison between program leadership, project team, functional organizations, and line management.   Operate as Product Manager for developmental and mature production programs with ability to work with engineering, manufacturing, and business disciplines. Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress, intervention/corrective action, and problem solving with program leadership, project managers, line managers, and customers. Lead bid and proposal preparation, earned value, and estimate to complete activities. Engage in the producibility and quality of the product, and the processes that directly pertain, encompassing primarily one or more of the following engineering disciplines: Computer Integrated Manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, manufacturing equipment, process, product, quality assurance, reliability, supplier quality, and test.

 

Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 8 years related professional experience in an Aerospace/Engineering environment

  • Demonstrated experience with Infrared components and subsystems (Electro Optical Systems, Other Sensing Systems Software Hardware)

  • Experience with a wide variety of domestic production environments. International market experience is a plus.

  • Effective leadership skills and the ability to demonstrate team building and collaboration across business functions

  • Demonstrated knowledge of program, product, and project management processes

  • Effective communication/presentation, analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Experience with Earned Value techniques (cost and schedule performance)

  • Customer Focused

  • Ability to obtain or currently have a Secret Clearance

     

    Desired Skills:

  • Technical knowledge or experience with Infrared device design, assembly, and vacuum packaging technology

  • Technical knowledge or experience with electro-optics sensors/cameras

  • Ability to demonstrate sustained superior performance and continuous improvement

     

    Required Education (including Major):

    Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics
