The Product Manager for Teleflora will work with a team of forward facing professionals focused on extending Teleflora.com’s leadership in the floral industry. The Product Manager should be passionate about developing a great user experience based on consumer insights. The Product Manager will leverage his or her knowledge of the Ecommerce space to create a robust and innovative product that supports the website and network of back office systems. This person should be an innovator who understands how to craft a vision and drive concepts from the spec to the screen. Prior experience working with ecommerce and internet technologies is a MUST for the candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside a team of engineers, Q/A, operations, merchandising and marketing professionals to define/execute our product priorities and product roadmap and expand our company’s market leadership
- Coordinates project activities with an emphasis on innovation, quality, and meeting deadlines.
- Maintains awareness of project status, identifying conflicts and proactively communicating them to the appropriate individuals/department(s). Tracks and reports status of site features in development to management.
- Effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines.
- Manages web enhancements calendar, timelines and project plans.
- Prepares reports and presentations as required by management.
- Ensures quality assurance testing is performed, and user acceptance of the product has been established prior to deployment.
- Facilitate meetings with other functional groups to discuss their business initiatives. Define objectives, participants, process and expected outcomes.
- Comprehensive knowledge and background of all IT disciplines and has the ability to change roles to fill whatever technical void may be present.
- Strong knowledge of business theory, business processes, financial management and business operations.
- Ability to perform research on market trends, opportunities, competitive analysis and translate the results of that research into actionable plans for Teleflora.
- Ability to research, troubleshoot, diagnose and recommend solutions to increasingly complex business or technical problems.
- Recommend new modules and functionality for the site. Optimize sales by increasing site conversion and decreasing abandonment.
- Develops use-case scenarios, page mock-ups, requirements docs, and functional specifications.
- Researches and analyzes industry trends. Maintains knowledge of emerging multimedia technologies and collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop applicable web technology.
- Reviews and recommends website experience based on customer behavior.
- Develop multivariate and A/B testing scenarios with a focus on driving conversion and learning behaviors of Teleflora customers.
- Manage priorities effectively and work with only minimal supervision and direction.
- Develop positive and effective relationships with internal functional groups.
- Bachelors/Technical degree or equivalent experience.
- Sense of responsibility/ownership over product quality.
- Tech savvy. Prior experience as web developer a plus.
- Experience in ecommerce a must.
- Expert planning and organizational skills.
- Experience with multivariate and A/B testing tools.
- Sound knowledge in UI design theory and practice with a focus on simple, easy-to-use designs.
- Expert problem solving, analytic, and decision making skills.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical business units.
- Technical aptitude and enthusiasm in various system technologies and disciplines.
- Data analysis and data modeling experience.
- Must be capable of working extended hours to meet company peaks.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
